At the end of the nineteen-century Don Ramón Tarré Ódena leaves its beloved Barcelona emigrating to the New World. In a given moment he settles in Zamora, Michoacán which is described by himself as a fertile land where God is loved and Spanish is spoken.
Established in Zamora, Don Ramón uses his connections in Europe and establishes a distribution company which brings liquors and wines from Spain. Later on he distributes national liquors and finally he makes some by himself. The family tradition continues now in its 4th generation with residence in Guadalajara where the Espanta Suegras® the first Mexican digestive is produced and launched from Tlaquepaque to the world markets. The product is produced in Tlaquepaque based on purely aged tequila reposado and regional herbs matured in a fine blend with the ancient process of the family from Michoacán. Espanta Suegras® is for México what other liqueurs are for England or France which are linked to the national liquor in this case to the very Mexican agave distillates. Agaves are those beautiful plants which paint with its fresh blue colors the hilly fields of México. |
